Risk Management

10th March 9:00AM - 1:00PM

Overview

A key discussion amongst risk managers is ensuring that risk is value added across the organisation. This webinar will assess embedding risk as a value added decision making tool and provide insights from different perspective and varying institution types.

Discover the use of risk tools and techniques to get value added, raise awareness and help decision making across the business.

What the webinar covers

We break it down into the five key stages:
1

Where is the organisation going?

2

What are we prepared to do to get there?

3
What are the threats and opportunities we face?
4
How will we manage these?
5
How do we monitor our progress?

Introducing the bow-tie tool

One of the tools we teach on the training, which is sometimes a session on its own, is the use of a bow-tie.
This can be used in many situations. Image you are at a meeting of 5 HSE colleagues. A call comes through from Paul Reid. He is on his way to the RTE studios for a news interview. The were 5-hour queues in CityWest for the booster shot today for the 4 day running. You have 10 minutes to brief him.

Consequences...

Acknowledge …inconvenience…not what we want…people are worried…

We are recovering...

We are…mobilising staff…explaining when you should turn up and what to expect…we have enough stock to go around…bear with us…
