After over a year of unprecedented challenge and change for organisations, many managers, leaders, and employees have been left exhausted. Stress levels soared trying to deal with uncertainty, fear, change and isolation while trying to meet work targets and juggle home commitments.
It is fact that many people, have been in a state of ‘fight or flight’ or stress mode for over a year now with large amounts of the Stress hormone Cortisol in the body. This negatively impacts on many areas of performance and causes reduced ability to focus and concentrate, reduced problem-solving skills, limited ability to think outside the box and lack of creativity. If left unmanaged, stress leads to exhaustion, burnout and other more serious health conditions including increased blood pressure, heart disease and/or stroke.
