Managing Stress in the Workplace

Overview

After over a year of unprecedented challenge and change for organisations, many managers, leaders, and employees have been left exhausted. Stress levels soared trying to deal with uncertainty, fear, change and isolation while trying to meet work targets and juggle home commitments.

It is fact that many people, have been in a state of ‘fight or flight’ or stress mode for over a year now with large amounts of the Stress hormone Cortisol in the body. This negatively impacts on many areas of performance and causes reduced ability to focus and concentrate, reduced problem-solving skills, limited ability to think outside the box and lack of creativity. If left unmanaged, stress leads to exhaustion, burnout and other more serious health conditions including increased blood pressure, heart disease and/or stroke.

This workshop is an invaluable step in better managing stress across any organisation.

It takes place over zoom, and to get maximum benefit, number are restricted to 12 people.

Workshop Program

A clear understanding of what stress is and how to recognise its signs and symptoms.
A knowledge of the impact unmanaged stress can have on ability to function well in the workplace as well as its impact on health and wellness.
Stress triggers in the work environment; what the more common triggers are and what approach can be taken to ensure psychological safety in the workplace, moving employees form a state of threat back into a reward state which will have a positive impact on team morale and performance.
Simple techniques that can be introduced into a busy daily schedule to help you to stay in a calm and grounded state, so that, you can perform at your best without compromising on your health and wellbeing. Showing up daily in this state, will have a knock-on positive impact on the people around you.
